Holiday Apartments in Friedrichshafen

20 apartments in the Zeppelin city on Lake Constance – many in Fischbach, a short walk from the water and with a train stop on the doorstep.

Friedrichshafen pairs a lakeside holiday with a slice of aviation history. This is the home of the Zeppelin: at the Zeppelin Museum right by the harbour you can walk through a reconstruction of the legendary Hindenburg, and sightseeing flights still take off here in town, so keep an eye out for an airship drifting over the lake. Add a long waterfront promenade with views of the Alps, lidos for swimming and boat piers that connect you to the whole of Lake Constance.

Friedrichshafen is our main base, with 20 holiday apartments – many of them in the Fischbach district, just a short walk from the water and from Fischbach's own railway stop. You book directly with the Heinke Wohnraum team: no portal fees, and your booking is confirmed instantly. The apartments are also a practical alternative to a hotel for trade fair guests – exhibitors and visitors to Interboot, Motorradwelt Bodensee or AERO stay with us with a fully equipped kitchen and room to work.

Getting here is easy, too: Friedrichshafen has good rail connections, and Fischbach has its own stop on the lakeside railway line. From the harbour, the catamaran takes you to Konstanz in around 50 minutes, and the car ferry links the town with Romanshorn in Switzerland. For day trips, Meersburg and the island town of Lindau are each around 25 minutes away by car, and Mainau island is about an hour by car and ferry – a great base for exploring the whole lake.

From the Swiss side, the car ferry from Romanshorn and the catamaran from Konstanz bring you straight across the lake.

When is the best time to visit Friedrichshafen?

May to September is ideal for swimming and life on the promenade – that's also when lidos like the Fischbach lakeside pool are open. Spring and autumn are quieter and great for cycling and day trips.
