Tettnang is the hop town near Lake Constance: aroma hops have been grown here for around 175 years, and brewers around the world prize the Tettnanger variety. Add three castles from the era of the Counts of Montfort – above all the baroque Neues Schloss – and a compact old town with cafés and small shops. If you would rather spend your holiday in a lively little town than right in the lakeside bustle, this is the place: the lake is on your doorstep, and the Allgäu begins just beyond the hills.

In Tettnang we deliberately rent out just one home: our apartment "Mein Hopfengut". Its 75 square metres sleep up to four guests, with bright rooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a smart TV with streaming services and free parking on site. The apartment is centrally located, with the old town and its castles within walking distance. Friedrichshafen is around ten kilometres away, and the shore of Lake Constance is a short drive from your door. Arriving by train, travel to Friedrichshafen or Meckenbeuren station and continue by bus or taxi. For day trips you are perfectly placed: Lindau, Meersburg and Mainau Island are popular outings, while the rolling hills of the Allgäu rise to the east.
